Garden Ridge Animal Hospital Staff

Dr. Elizabeth Templeman graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Science with University Honors degree from Texas A&M University in 1993 and Magna Cum Laude with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University in 1996. She has been a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners since 1996. She enjoys dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and managing endocrine disorders.

Dr. Kevin Templeman graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Science degree from Texas A&M University in 1993 and with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University in 1996. He maintains USDA accreditation, which enables him to write international health certificates. He enjoys seeing pocket pets and birds and is one of the few in the area willing to practice medicine on these special pets. 

Dr. Jennifer Shultz grew up caring for animals in the San Antonio area. She graduated from Trinity University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies. Her passion for the mountains drew her to Colorado State University where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2019. She readily migrated back home to the Texas Hill Country to escape the cold Colorado winters. While working as a relief veterinarian, she gained additional training in emergency, behavioral, and holistic medicine. She is a Level 3 FearFree Professional and a Certified Veterinary Medical Acupuncturist through CuraCore.

Cathy: Our main receptionist, with years of experience, can answer almost all of your questions and schedule an appointment for you and your pet. 

Katie, Certified Veterinary Assistant, Practice Manager: Katie joined our team in 2019, bringing a deep passion for animal care. Over the past few years, she has transitioned into a management role, overseeing the clinic’s daily operations with dedication and expertise. She is pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, further enhancing her leadership and management skills to better serve our team and patients.

Ashley, Certified Veterinary Assistant: Ashley has been with us since 2015 and is our lead technician assisting in surgery. She is deeply passionate about general canine and feline care and focuses on wellness and preventive medicine to ensure the best possible care for our patients.

Juliana, Certified Veterinary Assistant: Juliana began her journey with us as a high school intern and quickly discovered her passion for veterinary care. Committed to the well-being of every patient, she is a dedicated and hardworking team member who always prioritizes your pet’s best interest.

Haleigh, Certified Veterinary Assistant: Haleigh joined our team in 2022, bringing a deep love for animals with a particular passion for horses. Over the years, she has expanded her knowledge to help provide exceptional care.

Bryanna, Certified Veterinary Assistant: Bryanna joined our team in 2022, bringing her creativity as an artist and her deep passion for animal care. She is dedicated to helping animals and those who love them, striving to make a positive impact through her work.

Marina, Certified Veterinary Assistant: Marina joined our team in 2021 with a deep passion for animal care. Her dedication to the field has only strengthened through her experience working alongside our team and patients. Recently, she has taken on the responsibility of managing purchasing and inventory for our clinic. Marina is always eager to assist wherever needed, bringing a positive, warm smile to every task.

Makaileigh, Veterinary Assistant: Makaileigh joined our team in 2024, bringing a strong passion for animal care and a commitment to continuous learning. She is dedicated to providing compassionate support to our patients while expanding her knowledge in the field.

Jack, Veterinary Assistant: Jack joined our team at the beginning of this year, bringing valuable experience from his background in human medicine. His passion for healthcare led him to explore the field of veterinary medicine. Jack is dedicated to providing excellent patient care and is excited to continue learning and growing.

We have high school interns with us often, to introduce them to this wonderful field and encourage them to follow their dreams!
